Welcome to IKRA - the first club in Russia professionally presenting international and Russian artists of any scale. IKRA introduces Western club standards to Moscow and aims at making Moscow club listings comparable to that of any European capital. IKRA is extensively using the potential of a spacious venue encompassing two concert halls, big and small, three bars and cozy lounge-cafe. Ìain hall capacity is over 600 persons (including 32 VIP seats). Within only a year of existence IKRA has presented such acts as Current 93, Coldcut, Stanley Clarke/George Duke, Psychic TV, Amon Tobin, Sean Lennon, Electric Six, Richard Galliano, Jimi Tenor, Jay-Jay Johanson, Brazzaville, Four Tet, Andrew Weatherall, Dani Siciliano, Plaid, BWO, Eugene Hutz/Gogol Bordello, Front Line Assembly - to name a few. Already in early 2007 IKRA received the prestigious national Night Life Awards as the best live music club and was rated by prominent Afisha and TimeOut Moscow magazines as the #1 live/dance club. Curator principle is fundamental for IKRA. It's the place free of obsolete style divisions, the place where the recent trends in live music and party are constantly observed, and moreover, IKRA is home for musicians, movie, visual and theatre artists. Club curators are major specialists each in his/her field, at least in the 10-million city of Moscow. Their projects are based on the main rule: curators of IKRA are absolutely free in their choice. Their experience, their taste, their intuition shape the face of the club. The sound of IKRA, Electrovoice Xi, the best among Moscow club venues - allows to enjoy both powerful and nuanced performance. Trash-glamorous design of IKRA is a product of 'Masterskie Rechnikov'. The Berlin division of St. Petersburg art-group (famous for design of leading clubs in Russia and Germany and unprecendented fire show) spices up IKRA with a touch of grotesque and luxury combined with well-hidden irony.
